Memorial Scholarship People Helping People Award

 

MIT Federal Credit Union Memorial Scholarships

Each year, MIT Federal Credit Union recognizes outstanding student members through our Memorial Scholarship Program. Recipients are selected based on grades,** financial need, extracurricular activities, and their response to an essay question. For the 2024-2025 academic year, MIT Federal Credit Union will award six (6) $1,000 college scholarships.

Open to: Those who will be first-year students, sophomores, juniors, or seniors in college during the 2024-2025 academic year.* Must be an MIT Federal Credit Union member in good standing or the child of an MIT Federal Credit Union member in good standing.

Selection: The winner will be selected by the MIT FCU Awards Selection Committee based on grades,** financial need, extracurricular activities, and their response to an essay question. Winners will be notified in April. The award will be presented at MIT FCU's Annual Business Meeting on April 25th, 2024.

MIT Federal Credit Union People Helping People Award

The 2024 "People Helping People" Award will be presented to a current member of the MIT Community who is also a member of MIT Federal Credit Union and exemplifies compassion, commitment to helping others, and a sense of social justice. The award recipient will receive $2,000 and a single (1) charity of the winner's choice will receive an additional $2,000 donation.

Open to: MIT community members.* All MIT Community members are welcome to nominate someone for the award, providing they can substantiate their selection. The nominee must be a member of MIT Federal Credit Union.

Selection: The winner will be selected by the MIT FCU Awards Selection Committee based on demonstrated compassion, commitment to helping others, and sense of social justice. Winner will be notified in April. The award will be presented at MIT FCU's Annual Business Meeting on April 25th, 2024.

** Transcripts must be in a sealed envelope from your school. Photocopies, faxes, and online printouts not permitted. Please note that transcripts will not be returned.
