MIT FCU's Core Transformation occured Friday, October 31st through Monday, November 3rd, 2025. Here's what you need to know.
Your banking experience has been transformed
A credit union core is the central technological backbone that powers a credit union's operations, such as maintaining member accounts, processing transactions, and managing loans. MIT Federal Credit Union underwent an upgrade to its core system from Friday, October 31st through Monday, November 3rd 2025, providing enhanced service, technology, and security for its members.

Changes to accounts and services
Loan payments, direct deposit, and wire transfers
NOTICE: If you have a bill, direct deposit, wire transfer, or external loan payment due between Friday, October 31st and Monday, November 3rd, 2025, make adjustments to avoid being late.
As part of the core transformation, loans will be assigned new numbers. No action is required at this time. You will receive a letter with the new information. Shortly after you receive the letter, information will be provided in this section on when to update your loan payment with an external financial institution.

Account numbers
All product account numbers will be enhanced to better distinguish between account types.
Timing: Monday, November 3rd, 2025
What you need to do: On Monday, November 3rd, 2025 you will need to update all scheduled transfers in and out of your MIT FCU accounts utilizing your new account numbers. New account numbers will be available through mobile or online banking.

Deposits and withdrawals
Existing direct deposits and withdrawals including payroll and benefit deposits received prior to 4:00 PM on Friday, October 31st, will be posted. All items received after will post by end of day Monday, November 3rd.
Timing: Monday, November 3rd, 2025
What you need to do: You will be unable to set up new Bill Pay, external loan payments, transfers, or loan payment transactions during the transformation. These should be set up on or after Monday, November 3rd, when services become available.

Providing our members a better banking experience
To enhance our banking services, our new core processing system went live on Monday, November 3rd, 2025. This system manages members' deposit and loan accounts, transactions, and services like debit cards and online banking.
With the new system, expect benefits such as improved service integration through our online platform and mobile app, enhanced functionality, and personalized features. This upgrade will provide a better experience, offering greater security, convenience, and value.
How additional services may be affected
ATMs
ATM availability will be updated here and on our ATM and Branch Locator.
Branches
Branches will close on Friday, October 31st, at 4:00 PM and reopen on Monday, November 3rd, at 12:00 PM. As the date approaches, updates will be posted on this page.
Contact information
Member's contact information will remain unchanged.
Credit cards
Credit cards will remain the same and will not be changed, updated, or reissued.
Debit cards
Debit cards will remain unchanged. During transformation weekend, Friday, October 31st through Monday, November 3rd, 2025, members will be able to use their Debit cards for purchases and at ATMs.
Mobile and online banking
Mobile and online banking will be offline from Friday, October 31st through Monday, November 3rd, 2025. Login information will remain the same.
Routing number
MIT FCU's routing number will remain the same: 211381754.
Wires
