MIT FCU 2026 Annual Meeting

MIT Federal Credit Union's Annual Meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 15th at 5:00 pm.

 

Join us for our 2026 Annual Meeting

Every spring, MIT Federal Credit Union holds our Annual Meeting and Board of Directors Elections. The Annual Meeting is an opportunity to hear from leadership about strategic and financial matters of the credit union. We'll also present awards to the winners of our 2026 scholarships. All members are welcome to attend.

Where

Our annual meeting will take place in-person at our Technology Square Branch, located at 700 Technology Square, Building NE48 in Cambridge, MA.

When

Join us on Wednesday, April 15th, 2026. Doors will open at 5:00pm. Enjoy some refreshments and take a copy of our 2025 Annual Report.

Election

We will hold Board of Director elections for open positions. Our Board of Directors is responsible for the strategic direction of the credit union.  

 

 

Meet the candidates

Our Board of Directors plays a hands-on role in shaping a trusted financial institution that serves the MIT community and beyond. They work directly with our CEO, community leaders, and management to uplift our mission and vision—to create well-being through financial opportunities that empower our diverse communities to thrive.

 

Vipul Bhushan

Vice-Chair of ALCO/Investments Committee
Managing Director, State Street Private Markets
Vipul Bhushan is an accomplished financial services executive, with experience in investment management across all asset classes, enterprise-wide risk management, and management consulting. He has built and managed product design and technology implementation teams. Vipul has worked at large asset managers, leading-edge product companies, top-tier vendors/service providers, and a big-four advisory firm, and has experience working with financial regulators and auditors to resolve outstanding issues. He is also active in a number of local non-profits and professional organizations.  
 
Vipul joined the Board of MIT FCU in 2020. One of his graduate degrees is from MIT, where he modeled and built high-speed electron detectors and researched the structure of nuclear interactions using relativistic electron beams striking carbon targets, in research projects sponsored by the Department of Energy at MIT’s Laboratory for Nuclear Science. Since then, his MIT involvement has included leadership roles with the MIT Alumni Club of Boston, MIT CIO Symposium, and the MIT entrepreneur community. 

 

John M. McDonald

Director, Compensation, Governance Chair

Director of Business Services and Technology, MIT
John McDonald currently works as the Director of Business Services and Technology within the Division of Student Life at MIT. This group is comprised of the MIT Endicott House, campus point of sale systems (meal plans and TechCASH), and the administration of the IRDF along with the Graduate Junction partnership with American Campus Communities.
 
He started working at MIT in 1999 serving as the manager of MIT Parking and Transportation. John has been a volunteer with MIT Federal Credit Union since November 2007 when he was appointed to the Supervisory Committee. In 2009, John joined the Board of Directors. He strongly believes in, and supports the credit union mission, which is to provide quality financial products and services to its member-owners.

 

John Kendall Nowocin

Vice Chair, ALCO, Compensation Chair

CTO and Co-Founder, Cool Crop

John Kendall Nowocin earned his M.S. and Ph.D. from MIT, specializing in electrical system architecture and microgrid design. He is the author of 10+ patents and publications, showcasing his technical expertise and leadership.
 
At PolyJoule, he is the Chief Operating Officer. He oversees system architecture, software and hardware development, and testing while managing customer contracts and technical support.
