Program Overview

You have navigated to a page for MITFCU Investment & Retirement Planning, which is a separate entity from MIT Federal Credit Union. This page discusses financial planning and investment services offered by MITFCU Investment & Retirement Planning and LPL Financial (LPL). Products and services are offered by NPA, LPL or its affiliates, which are separate entities from, and not affiliates of, MIT Federal Credit Union.

MIT Federal Credit Union provides our members with a  wide array of investment and retirement planning support and access to product options through our MIT FCU Investment & Retirement Planning program. Our Financial Planner, Mark Porter, CFP®, CFA®, helps clients work toward their financial objectives by becoming their Chief Financial Officer and presenting them with options and strategies to help accomplish what is important to them.

How Mark can help
Asking questions and really listening to your answers is the best way he can understand your financial needs. He'll inquire about your personal objectives and financial goals, and explain how MIT FCU I&RP process can help you work towards them.

He will outline your current financial situation to ensure that this partnership will enable you to plan for your financial future. Through a structured process of evaluating current assets, debt and future plans, you are encouraged to share your thoughts and investment strategies, and most importantly, your willingness or hesitation to absorb risk.

The planning process is completed by putting together strategic recommendations that form a comprehensive financial plan specific to your personal financial situation. Once the plan is complete, Mark takes the time to clearly explain what is being recommended and why.

Life situations change and it is critical to review and update your plan to remain on track while working towards your goals. That's why Mark schedules periodic reviews to monitor the adjustments needed so that your financial plan moves towards meeting your goals.
