To join online, you need to be 18 years old or older and have a valid US issued driver's license.

Download a Membership Application if you are an MIT employee, affiliate employee, retiree, or household or family members of an MITFCU eligible member.
Download a Student Application if you are an MIT undergraduate or graduate student.
Fill out the application and send it via US postal mail along with proof of identification and a deposit.
If you do not have a US Social Security number, fill out and submit this Certificate of Foreign Status (W8) form along with your application.

Open an MITFCU Deposit or Checking Account
Now you can open additional accounts online in e-Branch, our home banking service. For your convenience, several of our most popular forms and applications are now available to be completed and submitted online in e-Branch, our home banking service.
Just log into e-Branch and click on the "Forms" tab for the following forms to open a checking (basic, plus, or select) account, holiday or vacation club account, select savings account, money market account, or share certificate.
